A few words about Travellers Autobarn US

Travellers Autobarn USA is a key player in the campervan and van rental sector in the United States.

Travellers Autobarn is a budget road trip rental company. The idea was born in Australia in 1993 to cross the Pacific Ocean in 2019. This recent arrival in the American market explains the limited number of locations where you can start your journey. However, the cities are iconic (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas) and the itinerary possibilities are numerous.

The two models in the fleet (Hitop and Kuga) are built on fully refurbished used Chevrolet Express Van bases. The vans are designed to be simple yet practical and equipped with a reliable engine. Although they look identical, the Kuga and the Hitop differ in the age of their interior layout, with the Kuga being recent and the Hitop being between 7 and 9 years old. In line with current trends, all Kugas are also equipped with solar panels. This means constant recharging and a much longer lifespan for all lighting and refrigeration.

The practical and functional interior layout will make you feel at home wherever you are.

All vehicles from Travellers Autobarn are carefully maintained and regularly inspected to ensure your safety and comfort. The company prides itself on offering recent models equipped with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant trip, including kitchen equipment, storage spaces, and entertainment systems.

Travellers Autobarn also stands out for the flexibility of its offers. Whether you are planning a short getaway or a long adventure across the United States, you can choose the duration of your rental and adjust your itinerary according to your desires. Additionally, the dedicated team at Travellers Autobarn is available to advise you on the best routes and must-see attractions.

Aware of environmental issues, Travellers Autobarn is also committed to a sustainable approach. The company encourages eco-friendly practices and participates in initiatives aimed at preserving the natural beauty of the landscapes you will explore.

Pros:

The major advantage of this rental company is that it systematically offers unlimited mileage in its rentals, as well as additional drivers and passage to Canada.

Cons:

In exchange for this significant financial advantage, it should be noted that the vehicles have high mileage and no sanitary facilities. Lovers of luxury, total comfort, and brand new vehicles may not find what they are looking for. Note that with the kitchenette provided, all equipment (sheets, kitchen utensils, pots and pans…) can be added for a reasonable cost of €40, and a solar shower can even accompany you.

Your CoolDrive expert's opinion:

Ideal for the pleasure of crossing the United States in a Chevrolet, with a camping spirit and affordable prices. A rental company made for the young at heart (from 21 years old) or in spirit (no limit). Please note that Burning Man is not accessible with Travellers Autobarn. There is also a 5-passenger van that can be accompanied by a ground tent for 2 people. An alternative for those who want to experience camping in its purest form.
